Scripture:
Jeremiah 31: 35-36
" Thus says the Lord, Who gives the sun for a light by day,
the ordinances of the moon and the stars for a light by night,
Who disturbs the sea, and it's waves roar (The Lord of hosts
is His name): If those ordinances depart from before Me, says
the Lord, then the seed of Israel shall also cease from being a
nation before Me forever."
Commentary/Meditation
Beloved, we are the Israel of Christ, just as the original Jews are
the Israel of God, for we have become sons and daughters of the
kingdom by adoption through the precious blood of Jesus that was
shed for the forgiveness and remission of our sins, and there is a
covenant of the Lord's assurance regarding the continuity, preservation,
and perpetuity of God's people, for as the scripture rightly states, His
thoughts towards us are of good and not of evil, to give us an expected end.
